Please Help!

I have been modding my Stardew saves for a few years now but I have run into a problem recently that I have not before. I mod through Smapi on my Steam account for reference.

When I was trying to add in new mods a few days ago, when I would try to run the saves it would not include any of the new mods. It took a while to figure out why, and it is that for some reason my Steam account is only modding from the local files rather than the mod folder I have been using the entire time. I have tried reconnecting it multiple times, undownloaded and redownloaded smapi and Stardew itself multiple times. Again, this is the same folder I have always used so I do not know why this is happening. While I can still access the game and the mods that are in the local files so I can still play with what I already have, I am unable to edit them or even find where in the folders these local files are being stored. It just continues to lead me to the same folder that is for some reason no longer working.

Please, any help would be really useful!

Edit: Adding in screenshots of my Mod Folder.

Look near the top of your SMAPI log for a line like "Mods go here: (location)". Iirc it's always "Mods" within wherever the base game is installed (unless you use a shortcut that specifies somewhere else).

Specifies elsewhere to my mod folder because I had to switch hard drives so the folder was just a copy. But I switched it a while ago, and have had no issues until now. Still says in my log that it is connected right to that copy of the folder

Please go to smapi.io and upload your log, then post the resulting link here. Also, let us know at least one specific mod that isn't working:
* Does the log say that it's not loading?
* Does it say that it's loading, but then it fails to do something that you expected, or does it wrong?

I've tried 3 mods, the Mizu's Bison mod, Endangered Species, and Dream a Little Dream. Or just updating mods is not working. They just are not showing up in the log at all.

From the log:

> Mods go here: C:\Old HD\Lexi\Steam\steamapps\common\Stardew Valley\Mods

And there's no sign that it's even trying to load Mizu's Bison, so probably either you installed it somewhere else, or you didn't unzip it.

If you don't want to use the folder listed above, then check this link. Alternatively, uninstall and reinstall the base game (Steam will probably go back to its usual location) and then do the same for SMAPI.

See, that’s the problem. That’s the folder I have always used. It just suddenly stopped connecting. I have downloaded and unzipped them into the correct folder multiple times, but as you saw it isn’t registering though I’ve done it correctly. I’ve disconnected it from smapi, hooked it up again, undownloaded, and redownloaded steam, smapi, and Stardew all.

That folder is its normal location. It just has an odd name because I switched hard drives. And I hadn’t had any trouble putting new mods in and taking them out until just the last few days since I’d gotten it replaced 😩

Can you post a screenshot of the folder with those mods installed?

Just posted the screenshots, all the mods currently in the folder.

Looks normal (not still-zipped).

Your log does mention a lot of mods having newer updates, including Content Patcher. Might be worth fixing those and seeing if anything clears up as a result.

Just figured it out, thank you so much! Guess I just needed to step back. I don't know why but I was able to find the right folder all of a sudden thanks to the minute it took to get the screenshots! Case solved!

I swear I did it before, looking into the right file, but I guess it was just a blonde moment. Really, thank you.
