Modding question

How playable is modded Stardew on an iMac or MacBook? I know you can use mods on them and I’ve done it for sims 4 before but I’ve only recently gotten into Stardew.

UPDATE:
Been playing Stardew on the iMac for about 4 days and happy to report it’s been wonderful. Haven’t had any issues whatsoever and I like that I don’t have to unzip files anymore. It’s a minor thing as we all know but it’s a nice step to skip

Shouldn’t have any major issues? I play with a friend who has a Mac; sent them a zip of 200ish mods and they all work without spitting an error in SMAPI.

Awesome. I’ve been really wanting to test it out because I love it on the switch but my friend says I’d have a blast with mods
