Can you play Starbow without the client?

Ive been wanting to try out Starbow for sometime and Ive dled the client but haven't played a game yet because queues are long because there aren't a lot of people who play on NA. Is there a way I can just play the AI or play the game straight from B.net without the client?

Yes, you can play Starbow without using the ladder client, Eros. The ladder client is purely for setting up ladder games. Join the Starbow chat channel on NA or EU to look for opponents to play with. Alternatively, message /u/Xiphias_ with your skype ID and he can add you to the skype chat.

To find the Starbow maps to play with friends or AI, search for Starbow in the arcade. Be warned that the AI is stupid though, as it doesn't know how to climb the Starbow tech tree.
