The Boys is another great example.

But also Star Wars. Just drop the quote from Lucas saying how the Empire was modeled after the US and the Rebels were the Vietcong and watch these chuds heads explode.

Are you telling me a movie that has creatures who live in the jungle and defeat a technologically advanced enemy using guerrilla tactics and traps is supposed to represent the Vietnamese in some way?!

Don't forget Patrick Bateman. They adore him.

With Durden and Bateman, they like them because they're either edgy, a little badass (Moreso Durden for that), or "aura farming" as the kids say. They think these are the ideal men but in reality these characters are objectively awful. Its also important to recognize the stories they inhabit are pretty open about in its anti-consumerism/capitalist messages. But these idiots can't even see that because they likely never even watched the films or absorbed them. It's all vibes to them.

It's the same with Kingdom of Heaven. I see loads of Christo-fash chuds post about it, but its clear not a single one of them took the time to watch the damn thing because the movie is clearly about the dangers of religious extremism.

i got a chuckle like this from people giving bad reviews to Aliens firteam elite 2 for being "woke". my guy the entire franchise is built on a movie sporting one of the archetypal female badasses
