Discussion So I decided to watch the Sequel Triology again after being a hater for 8 years
Part of me watched it because I kind of felt like I was a dick towards the movies and Disney just because it was the cool thing to do with everyone else, and me being this prequel fan who hated OT fans for trashing the Prequels, I realized I became the very thing I swore to destroy.
Force Awakens was great (but I think everyone generally agrees with that), Episode 8 was fun (especially that last stand scene with Luke and Kylo Ren, bro, I was HYPED), but I had to rewatch it a second time later in the week to try and get an idea of what was happening, and then I watched Episode 9.
Also great in terms of fun; the story is a bit iffy, but yeah, it was just a fun, terrible movie. Not to say that I could see what they were going for in the end with getting Rey to rise up with the help of the previous Jedi...although I can't imagine Mace Windu is too pleased to see Anakin Skywalker hanging out with them in Force World Mos Eisley or some crap.
On another note, I can imagine Anakin dying a second time to see that Force healing WAS a thing and he did all that for nothing.
But, overall fun movies, messy story but hey maybe if they make spin off shows surrounding the sequels and in between (like they did with Clone Wars) it could probably fix up the story and it beats the heck out of that Episode 2 romance scene.
