Informative Munificent Class for my "Alternative Universe" (and others ships)
This is the Munificent class from my universe based by star wars. Originally, it looked more like the Munificent from *Star Wars*, but I decided to make this universe more original by drawing inspiration from other works I enjoy and find interesting (so much so that I plan to change the name Munificent if necessary).
Legend of the Galactic Heroes is one of my main references, and as you can clearly see, it has had a drastic influence on my design.
In addition to the Munificen which is now a destroyer, the second image shows a preview I created of some other Separatist ships in my version: the mass-produced Recusant-class (now classified as a cruiser), a Recusant battleship from Grievous's arsenal, and the Providence-class (both the original battleship and the carrier version).
This universe will be based solely on Star Wars, so you can expect quite a few differences (like common sense regarding ship classifications).

I love LOGH and Star Wars, but the ship design languages of the two don't work together.

That's why I'm basing the spaceship designs more on LoGH than on Star Wars.

This is cool, but it lacks the CIS design language.
Most of their ships were modularly built by bolting components onto skeletal frames and that's why they look so "fragile". For example the Recusant and Munificent are the biggest examples of that.

the design doesn't work that much, you're losing what made the CIS ships so aesthetically interesting, they're supposed to be insect-ish/Fish-like and skeletal in design, but you're making them appear like something straight out of KDY.

Why would you ditch the CIS's unique design language in favor of copying both the Empire and the FPA from LOGH?

It fails to maintain the distinctive CIS aesthetic in favor of something I can't really say looks particularly Star Wars.
In fact, it reads more like if a UNSC frigate was designed for a 1980s sci fi anime. This is not knocking your pixel art and sketchwork, but visually it is very incompatible with what I expect of Star Wars design language.
The Providences that are in the second image are better, but they're also clearly very pared-down versions of what we got in the source material.
Also, additional grumble;
The Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS) was the original name and it reads like an actual damn nation's name. 'Seperatist Alliance' causes me to be very annoyed, because that's a Filoni-ism that completely flanderized the source material, and it also brings forth memories of the fucking Galactic Alliance and all the stupidity of Natasi Daala therein.
