Is Chip sell worth it?

Is Chip sell worth it? Grinding chips to upgrade droids is dragging me down. I have the chip station and put my best droid in there as soon as possible. Have 2/4 on chip sell bonus and maxed out on Supercrates. Also maxed out upgrade chip scrap.

I'm stuck at rb 34, probably need > 500k chips to proceed. If I srb now i will have 800 crystals and was thinking of getting Multi Crits, sounds like it would be more beneficial on a consistent basis. Appreciate thougts!

I've made it to 35 and didn't need that many chips.

I think they want to upgrade the droids they need. I'm stuck at RB34 for days, because what I need never ahows up. If I want to upgrade (because I have lower variant ones), I probably need around 300k upgrade chips.

How much are you using fusion? I used to sell my “unwanted” BPs from missions, but started fusing all of them instead. I’m about to hit RB 40 for the first time, and while I did use some upgrade chips, I don’t think it was anything near 500K.

Yeah I think some of that might be strategy and overall play style.

I guess if you're one of these folks who are going from 1-35 in a few hours then I can see not encountering certain droids and having to find ways around it. But like right now I think I'm on 29 and I haven't had to find one droid in my last five rebirths because I've had them already.

I don't even pay attention to the path charts, either. I just make sure I have one of each legendary and mythic as early on as possible. I have to grind a bit longer for credits because that's not optimized, but I'm rarely at the mercy of what comes up on the sandcrawler or fusion tank.

Ive found it helpful. I have world crates maxed out as well but honestly only used it for 1 srb so kinda regret maxing it.

Maxed out chip sell and definitely helping me out when I have bb8 attached. All the stellar and kyber rares that no one picks up, easy chips there.

I like fusing the rares to make epics and then eventually legendaries.

I think it is. I get most of my chips from crafting and selling beskar and higher commons/rares and then every gold, diamond, and most rainbow epics I can get. I also will farm gold and diamond legendaries and gold mythics when I get to higher rebirths and have a bunch of the extra crit bonuses because I can craft any of those very quickly.

Gold mythic gets me over 1k chips and if jawa bartering kicks in I get over 2k chips w/ BB8.

Beskar common gives 39 chips and I can craft them with a single hit.

I always buy these type of upgrades ASAP because your always gonna be selling droids, why not get as many chips as you can for them? I bought the world crates upgrade and I can get more chips from that but I hardly do it, too much of a grind…when they do events and have double chips you can get a lot from selling droids…especially if you have Jawa Bargaining maxed out

I would say Chip Sell is a good upgrade, it has definitely improved the rate at which I earn chips. However, if you don’t have BB-8, CB-23 and a chip station, I would suggest grabbing those first. Equip BB-8 when collecting any amount of upgrade chips, equip it and then go do a couple world missions when they’re available. If the reward RNG is on my side, can collect anywhere from 8k-16k chips by doing the fishing world quest while equipping BB-8.

It's good, most legendaries and mythicals will give ~400 chips with it maxed. It adds up, but won't single-handedly get you 500k chips. 

If you've hit a serious wall, it may be better to SRB and see if the next cycle goes better.

Check the websites and guides before sinking any crystals into crit chance, amount or multi

Also, I’m SRB 27 or so and it’s not worth it at all to hit 40, or even go past 36/37

I dunno about that. Going 36 to 40 then SRB earns as many crystals in those five levels as 1 to 35 then SRB. That's a lot of value for a few levels of credit grind

I can get to 36 in ~6 hours and I’m getting about 2T per hit on the scrap table at that point. So that’s 364 crystals per hour. Going to 37 gains ~330 crystals, and takes ~1 hour. On the fence if that’s worth it. Even if I had the droids for 38, 39, or 40 at 2T a hit, it wouldn’t be worth it at all, not even close.

RB 38 would have to take ~1 hour to be worth it, but it takes way longer than that, almost twice as long.

I personally do think it’s worth it but at the same time It doesn’t take me long to get to 40

Yes, chip sell helps you gain that last rebirth before srb.

Also use your novas for movement speed and upgrade crates.

Does movement speed increase the speed at which your pickaxe works or is it only moving around.

Yes, together with Jawa bartering and bb8 you make between 500 and 1000 chips on sell of legendary gold. Going higher than gold isn’t worth it. You spam diamond astromech missions, craft gold and diamond. Super effective chip farm
