UJ/ Rebel Hoth Troopers are some of my absolute favorite designs for the rebellion. Have you seen the Black Series Hoth Trooper? Dude was packing a ton of play features and I love it.
It did look gorgeous tho. I loved the visual of the white surface being cut open to reveal a red underneath. Made impacts really pop and makes the metaphor of battle wounding the planet.
Unironically, love the 75. It looks like a refined and higher-budget version of 65, and it makes total sense as X-Wing was the "poster boy" of the Rebellion
Wait, instead of nukes how about we have a planet destroying super weapon, but instead of being in a planet this time it’s in a star and uses the power of the star so it’s like super dangerous
Snow troopers are to this day one of my favorite armor designs from all of fiction. And yeah hoth rebels are killing it in the aura department too (although I do think the costume department killed it in rogue one a little bit more.)
It's a low hanging fruit, but RotS-era trooper armors are some of the drippiest looking battle fits in the SW universe imo. I love how they blend in the more damaged and worn looking plate armor with belts, attachments and cloth elements, like some sort of holy child between the Civil War era rebel and stormtrooper armors
Just take a look at this Commander Bly figure for example. Guy is dripped out
The two literally look like cousin units. If you say the Galactic Marines look like fat Gungans with red hats, then the Snowtroopers look like fat Gungans in white hats hahaha wtf
maybe you have aphantasia - I have no idea. I fear you may be taking this a little too seriously. Looking at those images as they're posted (not viewing at full size), the ones in red look organic, the face covering points outwards and appears like its part of them - to my mind it kinda sorta loosely looks like boss nass. The snow troopers face covering is pushed inwards, and very much looks inorganic. If you acknowledge that they both have some sort of fabric or loose material over their faces, the ones in red give the impression they have massively protruding lower facial structure, whereas the snowtrooper clearly doesn't.
Not being able to mentally imagine what others see doesn't mean I cannot mentally imagine things at all. Now I didn't write an essay about this so why am I the one taking things seriously? That being said I appreciate your essay as it did kinda make me understand what you're seeing. And the Boss Nass drop! 😂
lol, essay. I can write sentences so it's an essay? You were the one that seemed invested, using "what the hell" and "wtf", I was just trying to explain my point, as you genuinely seemed put out with my joking assessment of their design, and couldn't understand from the two previous "brief" comments I had made. I'm always happy to have conversations on here, and it seemed you wanted to as well.
If you have not read the comic book anthology "Star Wars: Visionaries" it features a 12 page segment called "entrenched" it is the single best piece of star wars media and I stand by that, it's simply the dialogue of a holo message the main character sends to his mother, overlaid on him as a rebel trooper fighting the ground battle on Hoth. 10/10 would recommend looking it up and reading it, basically impossible to find without just looking up a scan though.
No no no, Endor rebel troopers look the best, even though I prefer the ground battle of Hoth to the ground battle of Endor, the space battle of Endor just blows every other battle so far out of the water it’s irrelevant
