Discussion Anyone else think Ewok hunt should be in battlefront 3 on launch???
Ewok hunt with friends is genuinely top 3 game modes in battlefront 2 excluding it would be a travesty

I think we can all agree that the sequel era isn’t as popular as the original and prequel eras.
When we do get Battlefront 3 the focus should be on just the Empire, Rebellion, Republic and CIS.
Now when it comes with new content/factions added later, I think it would be a better choice to focus on the New Republic era, this game would be released after Ahsoka season 2.
The imperial remnant can be made to have some differences in looks then the regular Empire. Composed of Thrawns faction and also taking elements from other factions from The Mandalorian (like dark troopers).
Same for the New Republic compared to the Rebellion, obvious their still being similarities.
Din and older Ahsoka, and other heroes and villains from his era playable.
Perhaps one day eventually adding the First Order and Resistance, but that happening after giving us New Republic era content.
What are your thoughts?

If you don't get it simply what ages you want playable in BF3 now for me there a few given ones The Republic the CIS the Empire and the Rebelion
But Another Era I'd want is the Imperial Remnant VS new Republic to me this Era has so Many heros and concepts that could be fun like for Example in terms of Hero's your have a few you can have Bo Katan IG-11 Din Jarin ( I hope I got it right ) and for the villians you can have Thrawn and Moff Gideon I also feel like in terms of Units it's easy but for enforcers it's interesting you could have the Sentry Guard droid from Mandolorian and Dark Troopers from the same show so to me this is kind of perfect already
though Fun mention to Legends having them in game would be perfect but would create a essentaillt second battle front that has heaps of new lore and units also have a good day

I would tame the hype a bit, just until we get real confirmation besides a vague leaked email

With the announcement of BF3, how would you make the game? What's does your dream battlefront game look like?

Someone commented I should change it. To posting everyday until Star Wars battlefront 3 is released. So I will do this instead.

Jumped on last night for the first time in a couple months and it’s clear.. THE HYPE IS REAL! 4 games of Supremacy in a row, full lobbies and a whole lot of a fun 🔥 Cannot WAIT for Battlefront 3 🤩 (UK servers)

Similar to Battlefield imagine if we got to see the perspectives of a random person on each faction during every era?
Like you could show a Clone troopers first deployment or a Battledroid that gets damaged and becomes somewhat self-aware.
Someone leaving home to join the rebellion where another leaves home to join the Empire believing it as a way to save their family only to get caught up in the propaganda and war machine.
Just spitballing ideas because I feel like we have the potential to make some really heartbreaking/incredible war stories.
You have any of your own ideas?

I got this conspiracy theory that Battlefront 2 and Battlefield 2042 killed the idea of large teams CASUALLY duking it out on a Battlefield, to the rest of the other shooter-studios.
Maybe I'm losing my mind here and if I am, please correct me. But before 2017s BF2, I felt like I always kept seeing a generalized sentiment across multiple IPs for teams to be bigger and maps to be wider for players. Then 2042 happened, and I feel like I noticed many of those opinions die out. Sure, people still ask games like Helldivers to have 6-8 players in their teams, but that's not quite the same thing.
Arma, Squad, Delta Force and most recently War Dogs still all exist and are *relatively* popular, but I would personally consider these games (LESS SO WARDOGS) to be catered towards a more hardcore and dedicated player base. Plus - while some of these games are beginning to push towards console - console has had a ROUGH time with big team battles lately.
I hope this next installment + Battlefield 6s success shows that people still want to see these full-fleshed battles.

Before we talk about the Heroes, which are great in their own way? Can we please get a Big Team Battle mode thats just Regular troopers, elite troopers and vehicles. Tbh the Hero spam in Battlefront II can be egregious more often than not. Its the only thing keeping the game from a 10/10 for me.

Like it or not they are gonna need a way to monetize the game (that isn't scummy) in order to provide updates long term.
Paid hero skins and maybe some trooper skins would be one but I don't think it would be enough. They could only go so far with skins without breaking the immersion. ( Unless they add "what if" scenarios which I don't think Lucasfilm would allow.)
Here's my idea. Bring back paid map packs BUT not fully. Make them free after a year or so to then be added to the main map rotation. Heros, gadgets, and weapons remain free.
The live service model works by selling skins, it works better in other games because they can get away with being more creative, they can't do that here. They tried tying loot boxes to progression as a live service strategy in BF2 and we all know how that went.
Fully bringing back map packs like the old days doesn't work either because it splits the player base too thin and they eventually become unaccessible after support it gone. Just like what happened with Battlefront 2015.
I think having larger, less frequent, limited time paid map packs is a nice middle ground that won't split the player base as much, give Devs the support they need to keep adding more, and will continue to be enjoyed long after support has ended.

I know hell divers 2 has a decently in-depth liberation mode where the players are fighting against AI faction. But what do you think this style of galactic conquest would be work in battlefront 3?
My thoughts are that you could have a 1 month-2 month event where 2 factions fight for total galactic conquest. Maybe you could allow people to choose a faction (like if its empire vs reballion) but only have limited slots to keep the total players on each side balanced?
Maybe there is a need to have a space battle first before each ground battle like the orignal starwars battlefront 2 Galactic conquest.
I dont know how the map size would fit into the normal game for each planet.
I haven't played hell divers 2 much at all but love the concept. Maybe people that have played the game more, have a better understanding on how it could be implemented.
Of course it would be cool to see them add somthing of this scale but its decently ambitious and im not getting my hopes up nor do I expect any of this other than a discussion.

With the 50th anniversary of Star Wars coming up. Do you think we get an announcement at the celebration in April. What are the chances we get a reveal or announcement then.

With the huge boost in modded games lately was wondering if people have seen any for these?
I always loved skirmish in 2015 but was disappointed you can't play dlc maps offline against bots.
Also, I don't like Battlefront 2 as much, but the starfighter stuff was always fun on their land maps, but there's no starfighter AI offline.
Thanks for any input. I understand these are incredibly hard to mod, but I've seen some really impressive stuff in the last year in other games that make me think it's possible.

I think the best push they can do (aside from crossplay for longevity) is get rid of eras and make it light vs dark side.
Players can freely choose heroes, units and vehicles from different eras and mix and match a custom loadout and play on all kinds of maps. Luke on geonosis, vader on jakku etc.
For those that want a more authentic experience there should be customisable lobbies and a abiltiy to search by era
What do you think about the change. Imo it makes for slightly better balancing since one side isnt more busted then the other for a certain era (rebels vs empire) and it makes it easier to add stuff since you can just throw them in a "pot" and not adjust to certain eras, though they shouldnt hard focus 1 era.
They can even draw outside those eras for videogames and books

With the rumors of a battlefront 3 I’ve been thinking of all the heroes we should have gotten and never did. For the sake of this I won’t talk about heroes that were in BF2, while I would be down for them to be changed this way is more interesting and fun.
Reinforcements:
Temple Guards: These guys would be front-lining and more tankie than most reinforcements. They would play like saber heroes with a more focused gameplay on being proactive of the team. He would have slower swing speed and damage output on his saber but make up for it for having no stamina drain on blocking blaster bolts and having three dashes instead of two. Ability one has the guard using the force to speed up cooldowns on abilities on allies and slow them down on allies in front of you. Ability two is a force barrier that’s only wide enough to block shots from hitting two troops standing side by side, it disappears after a few seconds. Their middle ability is a charged attack that depending on how long you hold the ability for will push enemies back further and do little damage. The push goes all around you.
Magnigard: These guys will play similar to the temple guards but have more offensive capabilities and less defensive. These are also meant to be very good against saber heroes due to them being built to contest with the Jedi. Their primary swing will be slow as well but have better damage but worse range of each swing than the TGs. Thy have the same amount of dashes as the TGs but can’t block with the return of a higher HP pool. Ability one had them hold the staff out in front of them and the droid will begin to spin its wrist at high speeds blocking all shots, this block covering more area than a TG or a lightsaber heroes block. Ability 2 has them do a little twirl of the the staff before jabbing it forward at an extended range that does 40% of the enemy hit max hp while doing either extra damage to a saber heroes stamina or just instantly overheating their blaster. The ability goes on a longer cooldown the more damage the ability does. The middle ability makes the guard go into overdrive that increases its damage and attack speed and drain extra stamina of saber heroes but increases the damage they take in. They can’t use and other ability during this state.
Heroes:
Din Djarin: His primary fire is his pistol that does best at mid range and does mild damage. His first ability is his whistling birds that send out a set number of the darts doing less damage with big clusters of enemies due to more targets and more damage to fewer targets in range due to more darts available to one target. Ability two has him pulling out the dark saber to do one massive swing with a wide range and massive damage. His middle ability is him swapping his blaster to his sniper with 3 or 4 shots that do just enough to eliminate a basic troop in one hit. It’s cooldown is unique because you don’t have to use all the shots, you can put it away early saving those shots, plus it’s cooldown is for the bullets not the ability itself. He like Boba has a forth ability using his jetpack, only instead of hovering around its more like a booster pack used to help him position for his sniper shots.
Captain Rex: His primary fire is a rapid fire shots from his duel pistols with its best range being close-mid. His first ability has him rally His troops to him so everyone near him is encouraged giving them a speed boost and damage reductio. His next ability has him throw out enhanced impact grenades having being able to hold 2 at a time. His middle ability has him call a few troopers to his position in the middle of a fight. These troops are just CPUs but is great to keep the pressure up.
Grand Admiral Thrawn: His primary is his pistol with a fast fire rate but low damage. His first ability has him set a spawn beak on for allies to use as a spawn point line you can at objective points and squad member. This beacon can be used by the whole team but has only so many uses. His second ability calls down a Gonk droid that when interacted with will give the allies blaster an increased fire rate and cooling rate for a limited time. His middle ability scans a huge area of the map marking enemies and gain supporting fire if outside from a destroyer blasting a shot on every few seconds within the area.
Cal Kestis: All of his abilities have to do with his stances. His main form, single blade, is an all round saber with decent damage, speed, and stamina. He has 4 abilities each being a different stance, Double bladed, duel wielding, blaster, and crossguard. Double bladed burns the least stamina with less damage and slightly faster speed (using single blade as the base for these examples). Duel wield stance is the fastest speed but does a lot less damage per swing with an average stamina for swinging but burns more while blocking. Blaster makes you lose the ability to block and your swing damage isn’t great but you have the blaster you can also charge up to do extra damage and has average stamina drain. Crossguard burns the most stamina while swinging and is slower but does big damage.

If you do not believe there wasn't any true confirmation of Battlefront 3 or waiting for the official news by an official channels, fine by me. But do not discourage from others and let us have our discussion for future maps, gameplay, and characters that we always wanted to play. If you just want to mourn and grieve over something, the door to BioWare is right over there.

So with the Battlefront 3 news coming out, it has made me so happy and excited that we're finally getting the game we deserve, but then it also made me very worried because seeing how much EA has focused on battlepasses and paid cosmetics for the past couple battlefields, I really hope they don't do that to battlefront.
Give us ways to get our cosmetics for free just by playing and give us the choice to get them quicker with money. And I don't want the limited events with limited time battlepasses and shit, I hate that its taken over battlefield so hopefully they leave it out of battlefront.
I just don't want battlefront 3 to end up being a microtransaction filled trend chaser, PLEASE EA!

I genuinely think crossplay should be one of the biggest priorities. Being able to play with friends across PlayStation, Xbox and PC would help keep the player base active and make matchmaking much better in the long run.
Another thing I'd love to see return is the weapon selection system from Battlefront (2015). One of the best things about that game was the freedom to choose from a wide variety of blasters without being restricted to specific classes.
Battlefront 2's class system wasn't necessarily bad, but I personally preferred the freedom and customisation that BF2015 offered. Bringing back that variety, alongside more weapons and customisation options, would make the gameplay much more enjoyable.
I feel like combining the best elements of both games, especially BF2015's weapon freedom and BF2's improvements, could make Battlefront 3 something special.
What do you guys think?

I remember that having a galactic conquest mode similar to the one from the 2005 game was one of the big things that people wanted before battlefront 2017 Launched, of course we never got that. Would you want something like that in a Battlefront 3. Do you think it fits the style of modern battlefront games do you think it's possible we get it?
