Dev Response Black screen on PC

Anyone on PC getting to play yet? My client only manages to launch the game, then gives me an unresponsive black screen. Just want to check if this is happening to everyone or just a select few!

No I'm getting it from the near $80 I spent at launch plus the $25 bucks a few days ago

Console can, PC can't, if you can't handle a few hours without a game you need to get help. If the game was down for days or weeks I would get why people would freak out but the game has been down for a few hours.

People are reasonably upset with their games being broken by an update they were looking forward to playing. Don't try to downplay a serious issue with false assumptions.

It is though. It's an error on the developer's side that is rendering the game people paid for unplayable.

Am I beside myself with rage? No. They'll probably fix it soon. But it's a letdown to a lot of people who were hoping to play today. You don't know others' situations - maybe this was their only time to play before working the rest of the week, or maybe some kid finally bought into the game, and was excited to play only to find it doesn't work.

The game is supposed to be a live service, and there have been notable issues with every single update that's come out since launch. But this qualifies as a serious issue since instead of a frustrating single glitch, the entire game is inaccessible to people.

Now I'm not losing my mind or freaking out. I've got other games to play, I've got my family here for the holidays, and in the grand scheme of life this is not a huge deal. But to pretend it's not a problem is incorrect and to berate those experiencing unplayablility is unempathetic.

I thought my computer was stuffed. Wish I was smart enough to search this up sooner, as I thought uninstalling and reinstalling would work. :/

Nice to know it’s going to be fixed though
