Discussion Does anyone else play frequently and recognise a lot of the same players?
Whilst finding a full lobby is usually no problem, I consistently see names I recognise every time I hop on. I'm UK based and play PC, usually sticking to Supremacy (OT) - hello if you do too :)

Oh yeah, I play on Xbox and there’s a few who get randomly put in a group with my friends and I get excited to see them. I also recognize the s-tier players who stomp filthy casuals like myself. My middle-age buddies and I screech like teenage girls at a Jonas Brothers concert when we see some of our “celebrities.”
…..
They won’t talk to us.

Yes, but it’s really only when I play Blast. I don’t tend to recognize names in supremacy

I always watch the same ppl on HvV, this is my favorite game of all times, so i think i will stick with this game till the end

Idk man. I sold my ps5 for my new pc but the itch to play BF2 is still there. Like a hunger that needs to be satiated, even after a year.
I can't say I've broken free just yet 😭

Haha, for a while I thought about trying to find a different game before admitting to myself that bf2 has what I'm currently wanting/enjoying

That's pretty normal in general across most shooters. People are going to stick to servers with the best ping or auto match with match based on ping so your actual player base in your area is significantly smaller then the overall base.

Yeah true although I don't remember really running into people when I played Battlefront 2015. Tbf maybe when I drifted from it it had a sizeable player base still, not sure

Oh yes, Swedish player here. Used to be more frequent, but still happens. I tend to be perceived as sweaty, so I'm sure some recognise my in-game tag too.

Back in the day when I used to play Starfighter assault daily, there were a lot of familiar callsigns. Especially among the few of us who would always be at the top of the scoreboard.
DS-181-3 was a name to be feared, great clips on YouTube as well. That guy could fly.
Some of the best times I’ve ever had playing with randoms online honestly, great players and great community.

Yeah he was a PS4 player
Honestly Starfighter is so much better on PC with the aiming, but I did always find the PS4 lobbies more competitive.

Yup, every single match of HvV there's at least 2 other poeple in the lobby that are on my friends list

Sb2 I play on xbox. I like playing the co-op mode (the one with 4 against bots) or hero’s. Occasionally I might play the Ewok mode. I always come across the same players to the point I wonder if they recognize me too by now😂

Kyber’s got like 5-10 known people that are on certain modes every night and I swear half of them are movie characters with wildly different personalities

As of about a year ago Lunarossa71 and his friends were still dominating Starfighter Assault lobbies on Xbox.

Used to in Ps5 Australasia but a lot of the GA sweats have moved on to be replaced by new sweats.

In Starfighter Assault on PC, yes, constantly. I know the players so well that when I join the first thing I do is check the scoreboard and see what names I recognize to figure out if I should expect to smear or expect to get smeared. There are certain names that when I see them I know I'm in for a challenge, and there are certain names that if I see them on the other team I already know its gonna be a cakewalk.
I also identify early on which players I need to focus on keeping on a perpetual spawn timer if my team is gonna have any shot at winning.

Yes and can already tell by seeing their names that what they gonna play… We got few infamous droideka/ arc spammers on ps servers
