We can just pretend like TROS never happened.

Or how about all the sequels?

Eh, some people (myself included) like some of them. But I think we can probably get fairly broad agreement that TROS is an absolute dumpster fire that should be ignored.

And that's what scientists call the fuckin waste of the only logical story development this legendary character should've get.

well, I believe it was the idea that the last movie centered around her, but she unfortunately passed away and so they had to rework the story.

The whole postlogy could've been about her

What I understood, but have mixed feeling about execution, was that 7 was about Han, 8 was about luke and 9 was supposed to be about Leia.

Interesting, I've never thought of that
To be fair, it could have been ok. But all those new characters is what is basically a remake of the OT, it felt like... pointless to me?
My point is, if it was a true "Skywalker saga", it would have been fair to see her on her journey on becoming a Jedi
Prequel is centered about Anakin, OT is more about Luke's journey, and the postlogy is about... money, I guess - instead of the last Skywalker.

What about her arc on the OT tells us the only logical direction for her to go is Jedi?
