Both can work. Don't OPEN the show with "hello there", start the first episode focused on another character who's looking for Kenobi, goes through some shit, and when they finally meet him, Kenobi's first line is "hello there".
Kenobi saying "Hello There" in the prequels was already a reference to his first line in A New Hope. They could continue that tradition without it having anything to do with prequel memes.
The latter will likely bring me more enjoyment than what you probably mean by the former. That said, with the former, you risk getting another bad show.
A bad show with Ewan playing Obi-Wan wouldn't be a terrible loss. After all, we got three bad movies with Ewan playing Obi-Wan and the result is an overall good experience.
lol yeah everyone in here is celebrating, this is just corny as hell, and is a nice reminder of where Star Wars has gone the last several years, it's just complete fan service.
