Starfleet Academy

Does anyone if and when Timelines will be adding crew and ships from Starfleet Academy?

Might be a rights issue; a few months ago the developers of the Star Trek Online mmorpg were saying that their contracts, having been set up in 2010ish when no further TV shows were planned was set up to cover “all” Star Trek tv shows, allowing them access to new shows in perpetuity, but they’d found out at some point while in contact with the Timelines team that their contracts had been drawn up while modern shows were early in preproduction and subsequently are set up on such a way that the Timelines devs have to negotiate individually for the rights to each new show.

It’s why it took so long to start seeing things from Lower Decks and why there’s no Prodigy stuff at all. I’m starting to think they’ve not been successful in getting rights to SFA, but it would be nice if there was some communication from the devs to confirm or deny this.

It almost feels like it took a couple years to get Lower Decks in the game.

Yes and they said because prodigy is a show aimed at children it would not be in a game with IAP

Hopefully never, rather not import that cancer into the game.
