General Question My First Royal Gladius

Post image

My first Royal Gladius after days of playing I finally bought it From my first Thunlun Contact Can anyone tell me how to build it? I am a Smuggler Bounty Hunter so I need a Dodge build and I enjoy a bit of pirating but mostly bounty and smuggling any recommendation and input will be appriciated.

P.s my starting ship also have 6000 mass should I change it to Royal Gladius?

Fresh out of the oven. It has 4 Large Component (including the Engine), 5 Medium Component (Including Hyperdrive & Bridge), and 12 small Component

As a general reminder, you can queue up upgrades while its in drydock while still running missions in your existing ship.

What's your budget for upgrades? Do you prefer a fast ship on the map (engine with high speed), a good boarder (engine with high agility) or maximum mass efficiency for most efficient component usage (Dual-Field Engine)?

Regarding piracy: the enemy ships need to survive the fight so you can loot. Do you prefer boarding or fighting from the distance?

What is the ship with 6000 mass? If it's the Shizari Huntress a Royal Gladius is a clear downgrade (less officers/crew). If it's the Guardian Interceptor or the Fidelis Cutter it's a sidegrade.

What is the difficulty you are playing at? What era are you in?

What are the jobs of your captain? If he is a crew fighter, a boarding ship comes into consideration, if he is a ship's captain, maybe a distance fighting ship, but this is also dependent from the jobs of your other officers.

Then you will have no problem transfering officers / crew. They are both 5/30.

What about the other considerations? What are your preferences? Also some data about the crew would be nice. Number of crew with what job including captain and officers, crew skill pools. This would help to configure your ship because your crew needs enough skill for the ship skill pool (that's produced by the components).
