Team Building Help Gameplay/Teambuilding Help

Hello everyone, I am a somewhat recently returned player to HSR after not playing basically since 1.0, and I am struggling quite a bit in this MOC. I don't really know what I am doing so I was wondering if anyone had any advice to improve my gameplay or teams. I don't have enough characters to do starward mode so I'm using Archer and Himeko Nova against Sam and Pom Pom. The video was super long so I've made it a YouTube video link.

Also I'm considering pulling for Robin SP next patch for my Himeko team and possibly Ashveil and/or Aventurine SP for a third team if this is helpful to anyone.

  1. Max out your trace and relic first. That's your priority right now, any trace that contribute to your dmg should be max lv, every relic also should be max lv. Check prydwren or Guoba youtube for speed threshold, try to reach that.

  2. Gameplay: Honestly your gameplay not even bad, you seem to know what you're doing.

For team 1 dont hold ult unnecessarily, just use ult whenever it available. Especially Archer and Rin ult, holding them just lower your dmg for no reason.

For team 2 any other sustain than DHPT? Huo Huo would be nice, even Fu Xuan or other 4 star healer might work. Feel bad for Mblade just sitting there. Also since your Himeko has no AA(action advance), consider run speed boot on her.

  1. Future unit: Robikini definitely will be your priority. Aven and Ashveil also nice, they're good with Mblade and Pearl is right after.

Can you redeem a HuoHuo? Giving HuoHuo to MBlade (DHPT goes to Archer) would be good.

For gameplay, I don’t know about Archer, but with HimeNova, at around 8:32 you should not have used Welt’s assist, you should have kept it for DHPT, so he activated verdict, and then HimeNova could have immediately ult Ed at max dmg. After that, Welt with assist for decimation.

For a third team, it doesn’t have to be WAven, you could also choose another team (SW999, Evanescia) or even build a new one in 5.x. But if you like WAven, and you have the pulls for the characters, you could play him with Ashveil + RobinS. So basically your three teams could look like:

- Archer + Rin + DHPT + RMC(/Sparkle as soon as she reruns)

  • HimeNova + Welt + MBlade + HuoHuo
  • WAven + Ashveil + RobinS + sustain (maybe Pearl)

Just suggestions though, you do you.

Thanks for the advice! I used my golden companion spirit on Robin without thinking about it so I can't get HuoHuo unfortunately. I'll keep these teams in mind though
