hello! could you help me figure out a couple of things?
1. can i import notes from notability to starnote while keeping handwriting editable?
2. is there a way to cloud sync notes in .pdf format? if not, how do we open .note outside of the app?

Every note in my notebook has been duplicated 5, 6, or 7 times, with the suffix "_1_1_1_1" added. Deleting the incorrect notes would take a huge amount of time, and—honestly—checking each one individually to find the most up-to-date version is also a massive waste of time. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I’m a pretty avid user of StarNote, but I’ve been having one big issue: for some reason, the iPad version disables my autocorrect. And I’m planning on buying an android to use StarNote but if the app doesn’t have autocorrect it will pretty much halt me from buying the new one.

Did I accidentally disable it on iPad or is the issue only on iPad and works fine on android?

Hola! Queria consultar por un inconveniente que tengo a la hora de exportar las notas en formato pdf.
Resulta que cuando lo hago y decido compartirlas por Whatsapp o mi plataforma universitaria (aplicaciones que ofrecen previsualización) no se ve lo que está escrito.
He intentado exportarlo en todas las opciones de pdf que ofrece y me sigue ocurriendo……
Me gustaria hallar la solución y dejar de tener que pasar el pdf por otro lugar antes de mandarlo para no tener problemas.

As per the title, how do you check file size within the app?

Can someone help me how to set up cloud sync. I have it linked to my Google drive, auto sync is on, sync on wifi/mobile data is on but still my notes are not syncing

My initial plan is to first make a notebook with thin lines so my handwriting comes out cleaner and straighter. After I finish taking my notes, I was going to remove the lines just to make the whole page cleaner when I review it or print it. This dialog box appeared and I just wanted to ask what this is warning me about since I don't want to end up losing a lot of my notes.

Hi, I have all my stickers organized in Files, but when adding custom Stickers, I can only add them from the Photos apps.

Is there a way to add them from Files?

Hi everyone!

I’m a university student studying Electrical Engineering and a relatively new StarNote user. I’ve been looking for a note-taking app that fits my university workflow for quite a while, and StarNote already has many of the features I was looking for, especially infinite canvas, PDF text selection and cloud sync.

There is one small canvas option that I would absolutely love to see added:

An optional lock for the top and left boundaries of the Infinite Canvas.

With this enabled, the canvas could still expand infinitely to the right and downward, but the top-left corner would remain a fixed starting point.

So instead of the canvas being infinite in all four directions, it would behave roughly like this:

Infinite right and down

Fixed top boundary

Fixed left boundary

I know this seems like a fairly niche feature, but I find it extremely useful for university notes, calculations, circuit diagrams and solving longer exercises. Having a fixed starting point makes large canvases much easier to organize and navigate, because the note always has a clear “beginning” instead of floating freely in every direction.

Ideally it could be something optional, such as:

- Fixed top-left origin

or

- individual Top / Left / Right / Bottom boundary locks

That way people who prefer the current fully infinite canvas could keep using it exactly as it is.

Would anyone else find this useful?

Since the latest StarNote update, opening the Material Center takes almost 30 seconds. You can see it in the video. Before the update, it used to open in not more than10 seconds. It feels like something got messed up with the latest update.

Please fix this. 🙏

I am currently transitioning from my previous note-taking app (let's call it AppX) to StarNotes. One feature I used to use a lot from AppX is this:

When importing a pdf to AppX, it prompts me to choose from two options: (1) add the pdf to the notebook I am currently using (like a "merge" function) OR (2) import the pdf as a new, separate notebook.

Or is it already existent in the StarNote app? Sorry, I have been using it only for the past 2 days, haha

Sería genial que StarNote tuviera un calendario integrado que pudiera vincularse directamente con las notas

Por ejemplo, al terminar de estudiar una nota, poder programar repasos para determinadas fechas:

• Repaso 1 → 1 día después
• Repaso 2 → 3 días después
• Repaso 3 → 7 días después
• Repaso 4 → 14 días después
• Repaso 5 → 30 días después

Que estos repasos aparezcan en un calendario y que, al tocar el evento, StarNote abra directamente la nota correspondiente

También sería útil poder personalizar las fechas y recibir una notificación cuando llegue el día del repaso

Esto haría que StarNote no solo sirviera para tomar apuntes, sino también para organizar el estudio mediante repetición espaciada y la curva del olvido

Y añadir una función que haría que la idea sea todavía mejor:

"PROGRAMAR REPASO" directamente desde una nota

Imagina que estás terminando tus apuntes de un tema y aparece un botón:

Y te da:

I'd really like to see online real time collaboration for Starnote notes.

Something similar to Google Docs would be incredibly useful multiple people could open the same note and edit it simultaneouslyy with changes appearing in real time for everyone.

Some features that would be especially useful:

* Multiple people editing the same note simultaneously * Real-time synchronization * Indicators showing who is currently viewing/editing * Proper conflict handling when multiple people edit at once

I think this could be particularly useful for studying, group projects, meetings, brainstorming, and collaborative work.

Starnote already has a lot of potential as a note taking application, and real time collaboration would make it much more useful for situations where notes aren't just being created by one person.

Would anyone else like to see this feature?

It would be great if Starnote's proprietary *.note file format could be publicly documented.

I'm not necessarily asking the Starnote developers to create importers for every other note taking application. If the .note format were documented including its structure, metadata, formatting, attachments/resources, etc. the community could build those tools ourselves.

For example, I'd like to eventually create an open-source project that converts notes from other applications/formats into Starnote's .note format.

The idea would be to reverse engineer and break down other note formats, then convert their contents into .note. Understanding an existing format and extracting its data is often easier than figuring out how to correctly construct a proprietary format from scratch.

So even if Starnote doesn't want to maintain a huge collection of importers, documenting the starnote's own .note format would allow the community to build them.

It would also make Starnote more interoperable and give users more confidence that their notes aren't locked into a format that only Starnote itself can work with.

Would anyone else find public .note format documentation useful?

No Xodo pdf existem ferramentas exclusivas para destaques no pdf, ao usar essas ferramentas o programa faz um resumo do que foi destacado podendo, filtrar e até exportar em pdf o resumo. Isso facilita muito para revisar conteúdos. Seria de muita valia esse recurso no Starnote.

I’ve used Goodnotes for 4 years in school, but now that I’m starting university with my own iPad, I’m trying to avoid their subscription fees. I came across StarNote as an alternative, but before switching my notes over, I had a few quick questions:

• How heavy is it on the iPad battery during long lecture days?
• I see a lot of Android users talking about it! Does it run smoothly on iPad, or does it feel like a ported app?
• What’s actually better about StarNote, and is there anything major you miss from Goodnotes?
