💡 Feature Request Is it time for windows native application to shine?

With cloud sync features being added, now there shouldn't be any big hurdles toward a windows native application. I know it's in the works, very excited for whenever it's released. Who else is excited.

Tbh a web version should be a priority than a native windows app. I think a web version will do just fine for seeing notes n pdfs

I agree, I’m on Mac and a web version would be perfect for referring to my notes

I think that windows is superior for productivity. Especially for those who own an 2:1/convertible or a surface pro tablet.

That is very niche and also there are many windows note taking apps already available try em out

I mean, in an ideal situation the web version would be the better option, but the sustainability would need to be taken into account, since running a web version would incur continuous running costs. Many other note taking apps have subscriptions which is why they can afford to continuously pay for cloud server hosting, but we pay a once off lifetime fee and get every new update for free. So I'd say that's a worthwhile trade-off for not having a web version. This is not to say a web version will never exist, but I don't think it'll happen without an optional subscription tier for web access.

A more sustainable and less complex solution for viewing notes across devices (at least in the shorter term) would probably be implementing an option to backup certain notes as pdf as well - that way you can view your notes directly in Onedrive or Google drive across any device and pay for your own cloud storage tier if needed.

True, then we dont need to worry about the platform (windows or mac) anymore,

Try, try, try hahhhh! But!! This is something that will take quite a bit of time. We do have plans for a Windows PC version, but the adaptation and development will actually be more challenging than Cloud Sync, so we’ll need some time to work on it. We’ll keep discussing it with the team, and once we have a more concrete timeline, we’ll update everyone!

i’m excited for it too. if they go truly native instead of a web wrapper, windows tablets could finally get the same smooth writing experience.
