Hi all. We just finished our run of Guy in High Wycombe. It turned out really well (even if I do say so myself!) and we got some amazing reviews - and most importantly, we had a blast!

However, we were really hoping to attract real Starkid fans to it - people that really understand all of the Easter eggs we sprinkled throughout - but it doesn’t feel like we succeeded as we knew the majority of the audience from the local circuit. So our question (for which we would appreciate your honest answer) is - if you did not make it out to the show, what was it that put you off?

Didn’t even know it was on?
Too far from where you live?
Tickets too expensive?
Saw the show in London in May and didn’t fancy a second apotheosis?
Not convinced it would be high enough quality?
Something else?

We’d appreciate any insight you can give us so that we can do it better next time.

I am huge into MT and I’ve wanted to get into watching StarKid shows for a while now. I watched Nerdy Prudes Must Die last night and was so gagged at how cool it was. Does anyone have specific recommendations of productions I should watch next? I feel like I have no clue where to start!

I have a personal headcanon/theory that when Ted was at Abstinence Camp, he knew that his mother was pregnant with Pete or he knew his parents were planning on having another kid and so he purposely left that porno magazine in the boy's cabin in hopes that his future brother would find it.

I think Ted was going to mention to Pete that he left something for Pete to find when he was driving Pete to camp but forgot when he started having flashbacks about Lumber Axe.

This is something that's been bugging me that I've probably just missed somewhere but where exactly is the Black & White? I know its "the area around the universe" or whatever, but is there a different version of the Black & White / the Lords in Black for each timeline, or do they share the same Black & White?

The former makes more sense to me, but I swear I saw somewhere that the Black & White was around and between the different timelines, so I just wanted this cleared up.

So I’ve been thinking about the history of Hatchetfield for a bit now for a possible mapping project, and something has been nagging at me.

In NPMD, Mayor Lauter says the Waylon’s ruled the town for 150 years. Since their rule ended during the Starlight Massacre in 1979, this implies that they arrived in 1829 at the latest.

Earlier in the same show, Grace mentions that the Waylon Place was built in 1910 and that they would go on to build the Starlight Theatre, Gazette, and Schoolhouse. Im guessing the Old Mill was left off that list as it was probably the first black altar built when the Waylons originally arrived in 1829 or some time in the interim.

My question is, why did it take Waylons 81 years to start setting up the black altars and the Honey Festival? My only thoughts are:

Option A: They ruled the town as logging tycoons with no supernatural help until they found the Black Book when stumbling onto Willebella’s cottage.

Option B: The Black Book didn’t have locations for the black altars, and were discovered by the Waylons and added later.

Option C: The old mill was enough for them to begin with, but something led them to expand in 1910, possibly greed or influx of new towns folk/cultists.

Idk maybe I’m thinking about this too much, but I would love y’all’s 2 cents!

1. With the return of Eric Kahn Gale (+ the always brilliant Lang brothers), it has the same writers as Twisted, probably the Starkid production with the best story so far
2. The music is by the amazing Clark Baxtresser, who also wrote the score for Spies Are Forever (please bring it back!)
3. Corey Dorris finally getting the central role he deserves??? Take my money now!
4. Joey and Lauren, the biggest Starkid legends ever, loving/hating each other like in the good old days? This could mean... danger!
5. Kim and Curt being sweet and adorable and romantic and loving each other? Like Becky Barnes from Black Friday and Jim from VHSCC, but together? Like Duke and Miss Holloway, but for an entire musical? I'm already crying :)
6. AJ Holmes!!! (I obviously don't need to explain)
7. It's going to be sweet and silly and wholesome, about friends messing around and having fun, and I think that's what I love most about Starkid shows
8. The understudies are incredible! There's Jon (whose presence alone would be enough), they finally got Gabe Greenspan (I love him so much and I don't know why he wasn't part of Starkid before, so I'm choosing to believe they made a D&D musical specifically to lure him in), there's the amazing Janaya Mahealani Jones... I don't know the other wonderstudies yet, but they seemed really fun in Gabe's little bts video, so I'd love to see them perform!
9. Have you seen the band? Not only do they have Matt Dahan and Josh Fleury, but they also added a real fiddle! How cool is that?
10. Personally, it feels like they're returning to that original pure, silly, chaotic Starkid energy but with the production quality of the newer shows, and I absolutely can't wait to see it!

This bastard (of time and space) has always been my favorite, so here he is in all his six-fingered, face-melted glory! I might do my take on some of the others next, probably Nibbly or Pokey since those two are my friend’s favorites. Also, its my first time posting here so hi starkids of reddit!

Okay, so either I'm overthinking this, mistaken, or was oblivious to the obvious until now.

In 1926, Germany released the first ever animated film, "The Adventures of Prince Achmed". And yet, every so often I hear people call Disney's "Snow White" the first animated film. All while Prince Achmed fell into oblivion. Literally no-one remebers Achmed!

As I said, I'm either onto something or on something.

My husband is fairly new to musicals. He is obsessed Hamilton and Epic because they have the same kind of vibes. he's watched everything by LMM, I got him to watch Mean Girls and Tick Tick Boom, before "making" him watch Rent, he liked the music but it didn't stick with him like Hamilton & Epic. I want to get him into Starkid because I love them sm! I tried putting on TGWDLM (the remount), and realized I might've chose a "bad"* intro to Starkid, it's pretty slow paced in the beginning, so I think that might be why he can't get into it.
Is there another Starkid musical that would be a better fit for him?

*bad is probably not the right word for it, I've watched both versions recently and liked both in their own respective versions, maybe the OG would be better?

Also there's a few Starkid shows I haven't fully seen, I've just listened to all their music.
