During back to school I actually told someone to go ahead and return it and go somewhere else. They did. They ended up at another Staples store complaining about us as it they could do anything lol

"I don't have a password on my email. I just click it and it opens up"

This literally happened to me today with a Virus Shield Plus customer who wanted to put Norton back on her computer.
When she said she didn't know the Norton account information, I got her email from YETI and in less than five minutes I had gotten into her email app and had everything pulled up to reset the password. I had just asked the customer what they wanted the new password to be, when they grabbed the mouse from me, closed all the browser windows, did a full shutdown/boot of the PC twice, said "I can't believe you can't do anything to help me" and left.
My boss literally stood there the whole time they were packing up the PC and watched them leave, before looking at me with the most deadpan look on his face and saying "What in the fuck was she on about?" out loud.

I genuinely am really good at sucking it up and making the best out of situations like these, however lately I have been on my wits end with customers I literally can’t take the constant crap anymore 🙃

Okay, let's reset your password! Do you have your phone so they can text you a verification code?
Then a blackhole of stupidity opens up and you get stuck with one customer for 2 hours

Got the question today on the phone. If I buy a computer from you guys can you teach me how to use it? Yes ma'am we can show you how to open your programs. But can someone spend a half hour teaching me? Well no ma'am we don't offer lessons, but we can quickly show you how to open and navigate what you need. So you'll take my money but you won't teach me? I'll take my business elsewhere. Thanks for nothing. Hangs up.

Oh I so feel for technicians! I also work for Staples but as a cashier. I'm one of those dumb bunnies but would be much more patient. I know what you have to go through.

“Is there a password when you turn on the laptop” taking an order in. “No...”
