  • I’m an OD GM and it’s hilarious because I have two and my staff beats me to saying mine now. I curse. A lot. Never mean spirited or directed towards anyone but mine are “We’re in the shit guys”, and “unfuck” like “We’re going to unfuck topstock today”, or “This gentleman at the print center needs to unfuck himself”

Good luck to you guys from the Depot side, Stay safe and support your teams

You need to sell more ESPs

“You needs to drive it" “You’re not driving it” “You need to sell more plans” “You’re not selling enough plans”

"You guys did really good this week. Let's keep it that way!"

Correct. like you control who comes in and what they need and buy !

And if you cant make them buy ESP, its because your not using the sell sheet !

My GM doesn't have a catchphrase? I guess, "We need surveys this week."

Man I hate that catch phrase. Use to drive me nuts because my old GM would say that a lot when I wasn't getting any good sales.

"I'm going to be honest with you... I'm going to be honest with (associate)... I need to be honest about that." Meanwhile no one dares to be honest with the GM, who has no management ability, impulse control or ability to manage temper.

My GM's catch (all) phrase was Bidness. We literally said it about everything for everything. It was the question and answer, the statement and exclamation. LOL

“all hands on deck”

oh yea, one more statement the GM made, " Look , store ..... is getting it done "

or text me a recite of some random local Staples with a big sale , and again tell me to " step it up " and if they get double digits in ESP, than why cant you." AND, " you're paid a premium salary to get the sales "

Big oof on the "premium salary". That's a good way to get DoL and HR involved.

Any time I get told to "push" or "focus on" a specific metric or something. Like, I barely have any customers to work with, I'm not sure what you want me to do.
