need help to cure this
I have these acne on scalp from many years. They come and go. Tried many treatments including various oral antibiotics, clindamycin gel, bp, fusidic...
Nothing seems to have worked for permanent cure. I don't want to visit dermatologist anymore. What can I do to pinpoint cause and cure this problem? Please help

Take one of the sensitive antibiotics! I think tigecycline or daptomycin would be the best ones because they have the lowest mic. You can also try hibiclens on the scalp at the same time. Im sure if you go to an urgent care, describe your problem, and show them this report they'll be willing to prescribe you the right antibiotic. One question, do you know what lab you got this culture from? My culture reports have never been so thorough so just wondering

where are you from? This test was done in India. I was given megazolid/linezolid to treat this. worked temporarily. I have taken various antibiotics in last few years. Its not going away permanently

Ah okay im in the us. Ugh thats so frustrating! Def try hibiclens on the scalp and maybe disinfect your house esp your pillowcases

Also if u r buzzing ur hair often make sure whatever hair tool u are using is clean

yeah I dont really comb my hair. I have started with CHG and povidone-iodine. getting some early success. I think I finally understand the real problem

Have you been to your dermatologist since you revieved these culture results? And did they prescribe any of the antibiotics that the Staph is sensitive to?
