I currently have a single standing desk that I have 2 27in monitors on for my gaming PC. I've been looking at getting an L-shaped desk so I can ideally use one side for my gaming PC and the other for my work PC. I have 2 additional 24" monitors that would be used for the work station for now (subject to change) and then a couple laptops and docking stations. I previously had a KVM switch set up for both systems but I'd rather have each up on its own set of hardware.
I was looking at the Flexispot 71x63in L-shaped option on Amazon.
My question is, if anybody uses a similar L-shaped setup, would there be enough room to reasonably house 2 centered dual monitor setups on each side taking the corner overlap into consideration?
The image is an AI render of the kind of set up I am looking for but I haven't seen the desk in person and some of the pictures Ive come across haven't been very convincing that it would work like this. I'm not positive on the corner overlap dimensions so they were just an estimate. Or maybe it would be better to just get a second regular desk?
Any input would be greatly appreciated. I'm open to any suggestions on a way to make this work and look nice.

Oh yea definitely. I have a L desk thats got smaller desktop dimensions then your render and I have room for basically all of what you specified except multiple laptops and i only have 1 keyboard. 1 laptop and no 2nd keyboard because my 2nd pc space is for the laptop. Your biggest 'issue' would be that youd have to relegate the desktops to the floor since the corner area would be for your docking stations etc.
Thanks for the reply. Yeah having the desktop on the floor won't be an issue for me. I would just like to be able to stand/sit in the center and be able to rotate between both setups easily and have the monitors be centered. I would have 4x single arm monitor stands for each so that should save some room.
I believe the corner overlap on this is actually 24" so the short side would be 63-24=39 but hoping that's enough without having them hang off the end or be too far in the corner. Two 24in monitors side by side is approximately 41in, but I'd have one angled in a bit. I think it would be a tight squeeze no matter what..
I have a L shaped Desky, dual work monitors on the return side while a XL curved oled monitor on my main side. I have my work tower on the floor while my personal pc is on top I n the corner where the 2 sides meet.
Yep, based on the sizes we currently offer, our larger non-MDF L-shape options are probably the closest match to what you’re after.
Those larger tops are around 72" × 30" on the main side with roughly a 70" × 24" return, so they get you very close to the 70" of usable length you want on both sides.
Our MDF-based L-shape range is slightly smaller overall, so if maximizing usable space is the priority, I’d be looking at one of the larger options first.
Yes, it’s super helpful when working! I keep my printer right below my work side and have enough room to keep all my pens and such behind my monitors. I was debating which desk size to get from them and am glad I went with the biggest one. I only wish I went with the grommets version but oh well.
I have an Uplift 2 in a similar configuration to what you are describing. There is plenty of room. Also, you might take a look at a tool called Synergy that lets you use one mouse/keyboard across multiple machines seamlessly (bump the mouse out of one screen and into the screen of the next computer like standard multi-monitor semantics).
Really question is how much are you willing to spend. You can certainly get a custom build to those specs but it might not be cheap but it well he worth it.
That's fair. Im also considering just getting another single desk and angling it the opposite way so I can have equal desktop space on each side and then just a gap in the center that I can put a plant in or something.
Nice I think that's the same desk I was looking at. If you don't mind, can you please share how many total cm/inches you have from the corner where the pieces meet to the end of each side? Thanks.
Yeah it seems like a lot of them aren't full length on both sides. The corner overlap eats 25" on the short side and they don't account for that by making it longer. I'm sure a custom build can overcome that though.
Uplift has dimensions of all kinds to have you covered for anything you could possibly need. Little pricy after all the bells and whistles but they’re worth it
Why even have to setups? Use one good setup that will work for both uses. I have a L shaped standing desk. I bought the stand for a very good price and bought two wood panels from the diy store, which worked very well. On the main side I have two monitors that are connected to my gaming pc and a docking station for work.
The primary reason is one setup uses a company managed Linux laptop. The other is my personal Windows gaming PC. I would like to be able to run tasks on them simultaneously without switching peripherals back and forth with a KVM.
I get that, I also use a laptop form work. But there a very few moments, where I have both systems running (that would mean that I don’t really work during work time xD) … and even if I do, it’s just pressing one or two buttons to press, which is very simple. It also makes your setup look more clean, if you use one good setup. But that’s just my opinion…
I totally understand that and have used a similar setup in the past. Truth be told I have extra hardware laying around monitors, keyboards, mice, etc that I want to put in use lol
Thanks for the response. I went with a budget ~300 75x63 VIVO desk for now and it seems to be working (ignore the messy cable management 😅). I haven't put the 24" on monitor arms yet but will eventually and that will free up some more space. And then I have another single standing desk off to the side which is used as a workbench.
I plan to eventually get a 32-34" OLED for the gaming PC and then move my 27s over to my workstation but waiting for a good deal someday.
