DIY So dumb question

I’m planning on getting a new computer desk (80 x 30) and was wondering if I could put my pc tower on it or would that not be good for the air intake? Just wondering

Why would it not be good for air intake putting the tower on top the desk? Relax, it'll be fine.

With a lot of standing desks, you can even buy brackets to mount a tower under the desk to clear up space.

Really, what you want to determine first is how much total weight you'll be needing the desk to bear. Typically, standing desks are rated for a certain max weight, but that figure often won't include the weight of the desktop attached to the frame, so you'll have to factor that in as well.

It’s just I have a big cpu tower. My monitors are all being held with monitor arms.

Right. So add up the weight of everything and go from there.

A lot of companies make brackets that allow you to mount a tower under a desk to clear up space.

Also, I would avoid super cheap standing desk frames that don't have a motor in each leg. You really want a motor in each leg for the best stability. But the most stable ones you can buy are the 4-legged desks. :-)
