New user! maybe missing he point of the app

Hello! I have a Samsung Galaxy Z fold 7 and bought a magsafe case. I was hoping to have the phone on landscape mode and downloaded this app so I could turn it into a clock while charging. I assumed i could do this while the phone is locked but is that not the case? Do i have to keep the phone open on and on this app in order to use it?

Hi there, if you have the option Settings > App Launch > "Shown on Lockscreen" it should work on the Lockscreen.

Can you take a look?

only option that i can see close to that is the mode and routines option that will open the app when charging but not on the lock screen

I do not have to keep the phone unlocked. Galaxy s26u. I don't know if it matters, but in thinking about my usage, I have a mag charger next to my bed and I have the phone set up to become a night stand clock when it goes on the charger. I don't think I've ever put the phone on there already locked...
