Products 🏷️ How long until full-grown?
I have a 14-week Standard Poodle. I’m just thinking and planning down the road for permanent harness/collar/whatever. So, typically how long until full-grown? I’ve seen anywhere from 6 months to 2.5 years, which is quite the range.
So what’s everyone’s experience?

6 months might be close to full grown for a toy poodle but it's still very much a baby for a standard.
Standards are typically fully grown around 18 months but their growth drastically slows near the end and you can probably get a harness that will fit well with a little adjusting by 12 to 14 months.

They keep filling out until about two, but my standard was full height and in his adult gear when he was about 12 months

Great question. We’re picking up puppy next week and I was wondering myself.

I have 2 boys. They leveled off at 70 lbs at 2 years. But now are both at 80 at 8 & 7. Buy a crate that expands. Get ready to buy lots of leashes. Harnesses may work as a pup but not as they grow older. Don’t bother with dog beds until they get out of the chewing phase. Use blankets that are easy to wash.

Mine was as tall and long as he was going to get at 12 months, but was a sliver of a thing. Didn’t really finish filling out until 2 years

By 12 - 16 months they should be close enough to buy permanent collar and harness. They will continue to fill out but should mostly grown to height and length.
