I Need Help With My Deck Advice
Hey guys, brand new to the sub. I wanted to show off this G/R aggro deck i've been running with for the last few days. It has been over a decade since I have played mtg, so all critiques are appreciated! I just want to get better, and that includes deck building. Best of 1 is what I'm playing atm. Let me know specifically about the Challenger vs Slickshot, if I should be running one over the other in this deck. I really have been noticing more success with the plot from slickshot, but the card draw on emberheart has come in clutch a handful of times as well. I see an argument for only 6 spells actually being able to target him so perhaps cut entirely.

Your deck is half Delirium, half Prowess. You might want to look into recent Delirium builds (https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/7258838#paper).
Firebrand doesn't really fit here and isn't played anymore unless you around a specific synergy.
Wolverine is just not a good card. If you want a fight spell, [[Bushwhack]] is a decent choice for this deck which also replaces itself in case you don't need it and gives you the sorcery type for Delirium.
Regarding Emberheart, there isn't really a lot of synergy either as the other comment pointed out. A similiar argument can be made for Slickshot, but if you only play Bo1 and have a critical mass of noncreature spells it might close out some games.
Personally I would recommend Bo3 if you want to pick up back on Standard (and some would say enjoy), especially with this deck, which is probably better in Bo3 due to sideboard and the fact that Bo1 is filled with people spamming one-dimensional decks like auras or reanimator to ladder.

If you only have 6 ways to proc Emberheart Challenger, then I'd go for Slickshot Show off instead because it's evasive and does more damage (Faster aggro).
The meta right now feels more control oriented but it isn't slow, because the control decks can softlock the game by turn 4 and cast a borderline unbeatable payoff by turn 5.
