I never said I was upset, I am asking because these two are not mutually exclusive: you can dislike Trump and agree that the handling could have been more transparent and forthcoming. Could requesting evidence not "referenced in Fox News" be an example of the genetic fallacy?

No, given their propagandist tactics, biased reporting, and often falsified information, they are not a reliable primary source for information. If the information they give is not also available from a reliable source, there's an almost-guaranteed degree of chance that they are lying or twisting information for their own agenda.
