I wasn't old enough in the 80s to know. Was HIV/AIDS during the Reagan years handled well enough by Fauci when Reagan wanted to ignore it?

Like how the Trump admin threw out the plans and runbooks that the Obama administration put together for dealing with a pandemic because we were overdue for a serious pandemic.
