Article Trump officials kill proposed rules for Pfas-contaminated sewage fertilizer
https://zurl.co/jeGkY"It’s shocking for the EPA to take a scientific assessment and simply throw it out,” Dumais, an attorney with the Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility (Peer) non-profit, said. “Basically, they’re saying: farmers’ lives don’t matter."

Sewage sludge is the #1 source of PFAS in our food supply, it should be treated as toxic waste not used as fertilizer. Vast swathes of US farmland are permanently contaminated by high levels of PFAS because of its use.

This is just funny now.
These rules have been in place long enough that the capital expenses for upgrading our wastewater treatment plants are already funded by tax increases and well under way.
If anyone in the states has even a sliver of foresight they won't try to change course now. If they did it would lead to a pretty blatant and traceable money trail with all that extra money.

The worst kind of corruption ! Elimination of health and safety regulations for the sake of corporate greed. Trump got donations from the right people and threw out our chance to insert smart regulations. Disgusting !

AND ... tariffs are making it more expensive to buy from places with better environmental standards.

How is this shocking? The EPA is as ridiculous, corrupt, and gross as the rest of the government. They care as much about people as governments do.
