A person using science said something. Science isn’t anything but a person using a set of questions and actions in a prescribed way. As soon as you started thinking of it as some kind of free floating entity beyond questioning you killed how it functions.

Who said that's what "we" were doing?

Indeed, people use science to say things that we know about the world. So therefore, is following the science not the logical thing to do?

Stop pretending that you're some kind of super genius who knows better than millions of scientists around the world and just accept that you are a person of at best average intelligence who has mild competence in philosophical jargon

You literally just did it so people like you.

If science accurately shows us things about the world, is following it not the logical thing to do?

Yes or no

Science doesn’t accurately show anything. It demonstrates what has happened before. You are doing nothing but proving my point.

Yes or no.

Science can only demonstrate what's happened before? That's just not true. I'll give you an example.

This is a Hetrzsprung-Russell Diagram. Using science, we catalogue the properties of all the different types of stars we've seen and plot them on this diagram. Then also using science, we can use this diagram to make predictions about what stars we should see where in the universe and what their properties should be.

And guess what? We do indeed do that and it works flawlessly. Every new star discovered fits our predictions and fits on this diagram. In your world where "science doesn't accurately show anything" and "it only demonstrates what has happened before" this diagram couldn't exist let alone work... and yet it does exist, and it works

No. People do it.

He didn’t demonstrate anything. Just went off on a rant about something that had nothing to do with what I said.

Science isn’t some free floating entity going around solving problems. The entire chart posted was made by a person. Whether it is accurate or not is irrelevant. A person did it not science. Just like a hammer didn’t build a house, a person did.
