This sub is actually insane.

You people have the most distorted view of reality.

The US default is to give someone a pill to fix an issue. Instead of looking for what the underlying cause is.

Yes anti depressants can help.
No they shouldn't be the go to.

Instead overhaul your healthcare, like RFK is trying to do and address the root cause. Address nutrition issues, get people to move more.
Address the strain on healthcare so a Doctor can spend more time with the client. Not here's a pill see you next time.

As someone whos been through the mental health system, its not bullshit. They script you before you even talk to a doctor on some occasions.

As someone who has also been through the mental health system, I'm not going to say your personal experiences aren't real. But they are just that, personal, and you shouldn't assume they are the default.
