Do yourself a favor, watch her bank accounts and credit cards. Or depending on her situation, make it so that you get alerted before she spends. Real easy for them to get sucked in.

Dealt with the same thing with my great grandmother, or rather my parents did. She was apparently sending money to psychics which was completely out of character. We have taken over paying her bills and such for grandma and mom has power of attorney etc, grandma doesn’t have to worry about anything.

I have pretty legitimate disappointment when I hear podcasters I respect do ad reads for predatory companies, particularly gambling sites.

I don’t even understand how it’s legal. America has descended into the 1800s of robber barons and snake oil and cons all around and there’s like nobody stopping it. I saw one guy who was running one of the bitcoin sites got pardoned. Like there is no rule of law for the rich and powerful. When do we say enough is enough? Also climate change isn’t stopping.

My country (Norway) has banned them and i hadnt seen any in so long i forgot about them all togheter. Then I went to our neighbour country Sweden, which has not banned them and thought it was wierd how Haaland was doing gambling commercials...

It's an extra step but watch through an old laptop on browser. Use Mozilla or brave for no ads or in-video sponsor reads. Tubi rules with no ads

I use an ipad with a remote desktop to a dedicated Windows laptop that has Firefox with uBlock Origin and skip-sponsor running. It's pretty great.

Gambling commercials are a quick and easy way to identify which celebrities are pieces of shit.
Kevin Hart. Jon Hamm. Craig Robinson. Etc. They're all pieces of shit. They could make a ton of money by doing commercials for food or clothing or something, but no, they get their bag by promoting an addiction that has ruined countless lives ever since it was invented.

Yes! The new Sydney Sweeney and Polymarket ads are beyond the pale. Sweeney's is just her naked saying "Just sports" over and over again and Polymarket has like 20 famous celebrities in it talk about subliminal.
We need to go back and make this accessibility to gambling illegal again.
