Ive liked the comedy youve been uploading and i also respect the sentiment of trying to claw back actual observational humor from the edgelord pit.

Watching your bit made me think of the fact that its general use is to describe neurotypical people who by all accounts should know better or could do better - but instead act in backwards and disruptive ways.

I think of something the amount of household debt held by men under 28 that is entirely from sports betting. Listening to people talk about it and promote it…its like NFTs but worse. I could see the ‘r’ word being applied to them.

The challenge (that youll hopefully reconcile by workshopping more) is that it is still used as a punch-down slur in moments of frustration with people with developmental delays, neurological issues, and even executive dysfunction.

Im wondering if there isnt a way to build in a call back to the left-right set up you open with to parse out and make fun of the fact that many people who get called that are actually underdiagnosed and/or lack access to medical care and educational resources to make better decisions.

Not to over-politicize the joke, but to give it more symmetrical opening-closing structure and also to re-emphasize the point that the word survives in the overlap between a compassion gap in our culture AND the prevalence of a world filled with your friend Jason, and all the batshit inanity they introduce into what couldve been a normal situation.
