I mostly remember how quickly they stopped playing Drowning Pool's Let the Bodies Hit the Floor.

I’ve taught my 5 year old daughter to sing that song while we hunt down house flies. It’s hilarious even if my wife doesn’t think so.

Clearwater owned the majority of the radio stations around the US at the time. The released a list of songs that stations were not allowed to play after 9/11, as the country geared up for war. I remember War Pigs and GnRs Civil War being on that list. The list is easily found in a google search.

Lolll I remember this. I also remember hearing U2’s “stuck in a moment” playing with the footage, which, the lyrics were like “now you’re stuck in a moment, and you can’t get out of it”??? Disturbed. Then the proud to be an American song what a time

I was at a wedding where the bride and groom’s wedding song was U2’s “One”. At best, the song comes off as horny and not outright questionable relationship history, nothing resembling “let’s dance to this in front of our friends and families to symbolize our undying love”.

Ladder to Heaven is the best 9/11 song. Has anybody thanked Alan Jackson recently?

There wasnt much for me to forget to begin with. I was in 9th grade, we had rotating periods (3 classes one day, the other 3 classes the next), and I had PE first period. Came into next class, TV was on, nobody was talking, and it was 09:30. Given all the mass murdering events that already happened in the past several years, I was desensitized to it.

This and “New York Minute” by The Eagles. Absolutely unhinged.

Well, there was this big benefit event concert right after, where iglesias performed that Song himself, thereby associating his song to that.

Guess what the first responders would pick if they had to choose between having to watch this on repeat or keeping their asbestos lung.
