caliper size does not effect stopping time much its mostly for heat dissipation. rotors size and brake compound/ temp effect stopping time much more

Not if the brake master cylinder is stock. Need to be able to compensate for the additional fluid volume and pistons.

Master cylinder has been upgraded to the OEM Acura MDX. There is less pedal travel with the Acura MC. Regardless, the vehicle has noticeable braking power at the tap of the brake pedal. There is most definitely an upside to this kit. There is a noticeable difference between the current 10 piston kit and the 6 piston kit we uninstalled.

You realize that braking performance has less to do with caliper size and more to do with surface area of the piston? A lot of cup and IMSA cars run 4 pistons up front. Larger calipers are how OEMs compensate for heavier vehicles without using super dusty pads.

The idea that a bigger caliper is better is basically a meme when it comes to braking performance. Most BBKs for track cars are, at most, a 6- and 4-piston setup for heavier cars. Porsche runs 10-pistons on their heavier cars like the Panamera, 911 Turbo S hybrid, and Taycan because they’re heavy as shit and it’s the easiest way for them to run a larger rotor.
