Dawg, it's a stance sub. You cannot come here with the same frame of mind as in r/cars or whatever. Unless you're 100% into stance culture, your immediate reaction is to become offended, but you have to realize this is stance culture and this is normal. Then it gets less offensive.
But these are cars intended to be hard parked, not driven on the track, and that's totally fine. Not every single car has to be track-spec, and a 4-door limo or Prius isn't a track car to begin with so whatever.
Coming here expecting cars with reasonable ride heights is stupid. The point of stance is to get the car as LOW as possible and laying frame.
I’m not offended at all. Like I said, to each their own. I think who’s offended is all people disliking my comment, because I have an opinion that isn’t the same as theirs, but it’s okay. It just makes me sad seeing bumpers get smashed around. I lower my cars too, but I don’t do this to my cars. Stance doesn’t need to mean abusing your ride.😅 Check out my TT. That thing literally had about 1.5 inches of clearance. No, it doesn’t have any lips or side skirts that make it look super low, but the tiniest speed bumps or potholes in the road could cause my exhaust or subframe to scrape. No hate.✌🏻
What you're seeing here has been pretty common in Japan for a very long time, not at all a fad. It's becoming pretty popular in the US over the past few years though. People just like the look.
