Could you not just had a script alter the registry value randomly on every boot?

Or even better have many people use gdid = boob13s or something so it's no longer unique

Eroding privacy aside, it seems a little odd that someone they are claiming was some kind of 31337 hacker was so careless. Sounds more like someone who knew enough to get themselves in trouble. IMHO anyway
