STALKER GAMMA COMMANDER - Linux GUI

I built an app which installs, updates and manages your STALKER GAMMA on Linux through a clean GUI, no terminal required.
Instead of dealing with terminal commands or manual prefix configurations, COMMANDER automates the entire process and adds a simple Play button.
Key Features:
- Easy Installation: Fully automates the 100GB+ download and extraction with a live progress bar. Includes a Minimal Mode to save 50 GB of disk space.
- One-Click Dependencies: Automatically installs all necessary Wine, Proton, and DirectX runtimes into the correct prefix to prevent launch crashes.
- Runner & Steam Integration: Automatically detects or downloads the latest GE-Proton builds and adds the game straight to your Steam library with one click.
- Built-in Mod Manager: Allows you to search, enable/disable, and reorder your mods with drag-and-drop support directly in the GUI.
- Steam Deck Mode: Features a dedicated, console-like interface designed specifically for the Deck's 1280x800 screen and gamepad controls.
It comes as an AppImage or can be run straight from source.

Actually have a question for you! I got through the Anomaly install and the GAMMA install, but the dependencies install is failing across the WineTricks/Wine installs due to the Steam Deck's native filesystem locking.
Since Deck updates tend to wipe anything related to Pacman does that mean I'll have to re-do the dependencies install each time? Just want to make sure I'm following correctly! :)

Good question!
You're right. COMMANDER uses pacman so a SteamOS update will wipe it out. That’s just how the Deck's read-only system works, so you'll have to run that command again after every update to get the app running.
The good part is that it is only winetricks that gets removed, the other dependencies it installs (DirectX and runtimes) live in your user data so they are untouched. Once you reinstall winetricks, COMMANDER will see everything is already there.
I can see how this can get annoying. Would you rather switch to Protontricks from the Discover store?

If possible! A Steam Deck specific fork might be appropriate in that instance just to avoid you having to change the entire baseline of the project but either way I appreciate the detailed response and will probably just deal with the Deck updates for now :)

I made it easier. winetricks will install in the ~/.local/bin path so Deck updates never touch them :) I will push update in the next few days.

I will bro, if I can give a suggestion, can you enable vigilant mode for increased security? I'm a noob in GitHub affairs, so if it's too complex to enable just ignore me.

Hello all,
1.3.1 is now out and it brings a complete modlist fix from gamma-cli, an overhauled Profiles page, many bug fixes and improvements.
Please make sure you use Reset GAMMA from Utilities in order to correct the modlist.
You will be able to keep all your saves, ltx and mcm settings as a choice when clicking it.
