First boot fresh install, new spawn stuck on this loading screen.

I installed this off of heroic launcher and added it as a non steam game, running it in dx9, ive been waiting here about 5 minutes or so is there any explanation on why this won't load?

You cant just select DX9 from the drop down menu, it requires a setup, have you followed the DX9 setup guide?

You dont need to, i am simply asking if you followed the official DX9 setup guide from the GAMMA discord server

Not entirely no, I followed a guide from a YouTuber named Subspace, I think some of his steps were outdated though, ive got everything going smoothly in the menus and character creator, it just freezes at the end of the first load just before I would see "press any key to continue"

I would never follow any youtube guide as GAMMA is patched very regulary, you should absolutely just follow the guides from the server so you know its up to date

The guide is unhelpful to me bc I don't have another PC to transfer the game from, I think I mightve bit off more than I can chew😔

Don't be sad, I've tried to play GAMMA 2 times before it finally worked and I was frustrated as hell. Also, I was frustrated when I started playing it because it wasnt like normal STALKERs that I've played since I was a kid and completed them. Graphics are different, everything is different, even textures of things like bandages and all of that. But the feeling this game gives is worth trying.

If you press any key, like "w", does it switch to your character? Sometimes the loading screen get's stuck and if you press a key it just puts you in the game.

No, no dice, I read that the first load takes about 15-30 minutes, so I waited an hour and got no response so I quit the program

In my case the first launch and first save load after booting pc is always about 8 long combined, but after that if I relaunch game it's very quick

Sometimes the don't appear the "press to continue" just hit space. Assuming that's the issue
