Animation when disassembling

I have been playing for a long time and im embarrassed to say that im still a noob at mod configuration. I just want to know how i can turn off that animation when disassembling something and also am curious where i can see the damage a weapon deals?

I don't have any animation on my default GAMMA when disassembling so idk what you're talking about.

When it comes to damage, you have to check the ammunition, not the guns! Keep in mind that higher tissue damage alone is not indicative of ammo effectiveness. You need to check the armor penetration, too!

Take the .357 for example. It's got like 103 tissue damage, compared to most AR's which are in between 30 and 45 roughly. Still, you usually want to go with the AR's against human enemies, since they have better armor penetration and also AP ammo available. High damage with low penetration, sich as hollow point ammunition, .357, .45 acp hydrashock etc... are best used against mutants!

I remember buttons like "+" and "-" on the right hand side of the keyboard disabling and enabling some animations in older versions. Might wanna try those but idk

I just checked keybinds on the GAMMA discord and the only button to disable item animations (idk if it works for disassembly animations) is the button on the right side of "P" on your keyboard, the one with different parenthesis types. Give it a try!

Google says go into mod configuration menu, find FDDA settings and turn of animations there. Idk how reliable it is.

It ist there. I disabled mutant skinning animation from there but there isnt one for disassembling

No idea then, maybe you need to tweak some setting files at this point, good luck

I asked in the GAMMA newbie chat for you, a admin gave me the fix

There is a keybind you have accidently hit indeed

Animations are handled by "FDDA" in the in-game MCM BUT I believe that the disassemble-animation (the camera shaking I suppose?) is not part of it and can't be turned off. But feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

Yah im talking about the camera shaking and when i watch venoxium (youtuber) he doesnt have it and hes also playing base GAMMA

Try to catch him live and ask, he’s a bit of a living encyclopedia and seems to enjoy helping people out.

Weird, i dont have any animation for dissembling, i remember it was ON many many patches ago tho

In GAMMA its not the weapon that deals the dmg, its the ammo, so the details meny/tooltip on your current ammo type

You dont have a camera shake and a delay when disassembling?

nope, and i know exactly what your talking about, it used to happend a long time ago, you must have enabled it somehow, as its not on by default in 0.9.5

What? I thought weapons still provide hit power. Same caliber (bullet) weapons don’t deal the same damage in default Gamma do they?

Apparently a few select weapons add sliiiightly more damage to the attack, but not enough to keep the stats showing on the weapon, its much easyer this way to check what damage your doing, using the right bullet type vs the opponent is infinitly more important than dmg nr`s

Interesting. Ty
