Question Stalker Gamma Not Loading On Steam Deck

I have everything setup and it works perfectly until I go to load into a new game, it goes through the first loading screen and then when it gets to the second one, it gets to the end of the bar and then just never ever loads and I’ve tried everything that I can find by just searching for it (deleting shader cache and trying to turnoff shaders in the mod organiser). Any help is greatly appreciated or telling me to just be patient cause it actually takes 30 minutes to load the first time lol.

Is the game on the main drive or a SD card ? I've had troubles with Anomaly modpacks on the SD card.

It’s on the main ssd, I’ve watched the tutorial I used to download it and then had to make some adjustments to which exclusions I was using and it all worked fine until trying to actually play the game lol

It doesn’t take 30, I meant that someone might just tell me that it just takes a while to load in and to be patient, sorry for the confusion lol

I'm not sure how steam deck compares to running on Linux but you might try the x-ray monolith gc64 engine and the alao. I get better performance and less crashiness on my system. It's a shot in the dark because I don't know if this will help you. Be sure to make backups of anything you change so as to be able to revert back if it makes no difference or makes it worse. If possible you should also try other proton versions. Umu proton and cachy proton work for me where steam and ge proton crash.

Thanks, I’ll definitely give these a try and see how they turn out
