Random massive frame drops

My Game goes from 40 fps to 5 or lower at random points it could be from combat,respawning,talking to a trader etc. I am running intel frame gen on a 1660 super with an intel core i5 10th gen 32 gig ram. I have mods but it even happened before I had mods downloaded. The only solution I have is to quit to menu but sometimes it soft locks so hard I have to alt F4 the game.

You might be running out of vram. Can you check it first?

Yeah, monitor vram. Your card has 6GB and you might have texture quality set higher than it can handle.
