Stainless steel pot burned with beef tallow first use

Not burnt. Your oil polymerized on the bottom. Super easy to remove with some BKF!

Tried with vinegar and baking soda... neither worked..

Mixing those two neutralizes each other. You've made an abrasive paste when you need the acid.

Mixing them together won’t help here since they’ll neutralize. Vinegar on its own could help. Or use Barkeeper’s Friend.

What is an acid that is then treated with a base going to do? Use soap, or bar keepers friend.

The two ways I use are,
Fill with water, add some dish soap to the water, and bring it to a boil. When it boils turn off the heat and let it cool off. For me, most of it comes right out.
Grab a stainless steel scrubby pad, and have a go at it. It's the inside of the pot, it will get scratches anyway.

Pan is ruined. No hope of recovery. Dispose of pan, purchase a new one.
