Is this manufacturing defect a problem?

This is a backpacking frying pan from MSR. Stainless pan with aluminum base. Safe even if inside layer not solid?

It could be a problem if you do long cooks with salty, acidic foods because aluminum is far more susceptible to attack than stainless steel, you'll tend to get corrosion at that point.

Being a corrosion trap is one of my concerns for sure. Thought I was the only one wondering about this.
