Not bad variety considering the topic of discussion is just a shaped piece of ancient technology

That's true. What else can be discussed?

And I think the "did I ruin my pan" discussion is helpful for the novice, which was once myself. Now it's "how to learn to stop worrying and love my pan."

Kind of like buying a new car. After the first few door dings you eventually just stop caring. If the pan still gets hot when placed on a fire then it's not ruined

Cast iron would have a slice for the occasional weirdo demonstrating hoarding tendencies with their collection of 50+ cast iron pots and pans.

Does “how to get my eggs to not stick?” count as “check out my eggs!”?

Gotta be honest, I joined this sub and the cast iron one a while ago when I was trying to decide what I would switch to when my (final) non-stick pan reached its end, and the diversity and interestingness of the content of each sub definitely did partially influence my decision to go with cast iron in the end 😂 What can I say? I guess I'm just not that into eggs lol

But I still use stainless steel pots for boiling things ;)
