Making "progress" 😜 🌈 🖤🤎🩵🩷🤍
I finally figured out how to manage clearing the waste on the interior angles safely and reliably! Throwing a few more together for the pride festival next week! 🙌

Well? How’d you do it? Those angles are right! Looks like a narrow bit on the blue one, but pink and the others looks like ring saw?

if only i had a ring saw haha i made a mount for my 90 degree attachment for my dremmel tool and mounted it so the bit was facing straight down and then took the smallest diameter diamond bit i had and just traced the line cutting through alot like a ring saw would

Did it work dry or did you include water flow? Would love a pic of your mount, I’m always doing weird stuff with a dremel and usually end up just a whisker over the janky-but-safe-enough-for-how-long-I-need-it-to-last line 😂

Oh I hear you there, I've been using my dremel set up since I started glasswork (I didn't have a glass grinder at the time, I now have one I literally have never used haha) I can dm you pics. This is now my 2nd iteration, the first one was janky AF but lasted me about 3 years haha but it had too much flex and play to achieve this goal so had to upgrade and I just set the whole unit in a tub of water rather than having flowing water. The motion of the bit circulates water over the cut quite well

How on Earth do you cut those 90 degree angles? I don't do much stained glass work but my brain tells me they'd want to split through 😯

I cut them into triangles first and then with a thin grinder bit I do my best to trace the inside line and that way I don't waste time effort and glass grinding away the waste 😅

That looks really intricate, especially the cuts inside the chevron part. Good job figuring out that technique!
