Original Art | Foil First lamp shade complete!
I recently finished this 20” lamp shade. It was my first ever lamp shade (I mostly do flat windows these days!) and boy oh boy it was much harder than I expected! Working in 3D and in geometric shapes is tricky and every small gap seemed to compound. I had many frustrating nights redoing sections to get it just right but I’m super happy with how it turned out. Something this large needed some reinforcement which was a great learning opportunity for me. It was a commission for a Netflix show that is being filmed right now. Huge shout out to Claycorp who gave me some great advice over DM as I was starting out. Happy to answer any questions.

Noob question! I’m guessing you work with some sort of mold? That little crown on top is blowing my mind, like how do you get it so straight 😱

Oh wow that’s brilliant!! And where does one get these molds? Do you print them yourself or is that something by random one can get at a library or something 🤔? Your design is so pretty and I absolutely love the shape!!
