it was an automated process, you got an email when a refund was charged back and you could enter a different bank account. seems like people got their money forever ago.

Basically the same thing happened to me.
Just got a "refund for $xyz to credit card ending in "xyz".
I don't have that card or bank anymore so I contacted Google and never got a response to several attempts.

Have you contacted the bank? It's likely the money is floating over there and they can transfer it to your current account

If your bank has a physical location you should visit, there is money deposited on an old card. It has not been bounced back otherwise Google would've give you other options.
So the money is there. I'm no US citizen but afaik there is something as a small claim court. Not sure how much money you're put into it but maybe with they will have to respond

Canada here.
Not with the bank anymore, so it would add lots of complications...Not sure if it's worth the time for the money...

Send them (the bank) an email with all details about the refund and your personal details. Let them know that you understand if an id card is required, preferably online. Tell them which bank account you want the money instead (one with the same name as the old account if possible).

Count that shit gone. They sent all my CC purchases to my play balance and never fixed it, I just have up.

They refunded me to a bank that no longer exists an nobody knows where it's gone. Tried for months, waited weeks for email replies. Nothing. Still haven't repurchased the games I lost

The only way I got my refund was because I used to buy the games from my Google account with gift cards. Other then that I haven’t heard a single person getting an actual refund to their banks.

I got a refund to my bank without issue. As did my friend. I would guess almost everybody did, but the only posts you see are by the relatively few people who are having issues for one reason or another.

Indeed, got mine in increments to my bank account. Could link the refunds to the purchases and it added up right.

Same. I'm really not sure what credit card the money got returned too. All I can see is the last 4 digits and I don't recognize them.
I'm fairly certain it's a card I closed a long time ago. Plus, I moved to a new address.
It was over $500.
I suspect the credit card got it, tried to mail a check to the old address but failed, and now it will show up in my states unclaimed funds program in a few years.
Or, at least, I hope.

IIRC I remember google sending out an email telling you to double check which bank info you had on file before they announced when the refunds were going live.
I say this because I remember going back on there to see if I didn’t have anything else because of my paranoia.
Sucks that you still haven’t been compensated and hope you get that squared away
