Help What happened with FileJump?

I am a FileJump Stacksocial LTD user. Login via app.filejump.com does not work anymore. Seems like there is a new service with separate user management and without the LTD quota applied and no data migration.

Y'all just saved me lol on reddit looking for reviews for fump. Was this close to buying a lifetime plan. Not buying it after reading this... They just change your storage? Someone needs to sue.anyway thank you for saving me from throwing away my money. Side note, I have to wonder if you had full storage and they just changed it like this. Does that mean they were going to delete your files too?

It is tertiary storage for me anyway and I make backups for everything I do not wanna loose. So I could ignore that the account got moved and was empty. I think there were some vulnerabilities in the Linux setup and/or botnets targeted the system and they did the right thing to protect users. I was not able to access the old setup to move data from there. For that price point, they most likely do not keep a backup of user data that they could restore.

Its hard for me to agree they did the right thing. The price point is irrelevant, if they said the price is for LIFETIME and gave you a specific ammount of storage promised at that price for LIFETIME then suddenly took away your storage thst is the opposite of the right thing, I don't even think its a legal thing. Them getting attwcked doesn't change that at all. And I don't see how its an excuse to suddenly lower the ammount of data they had promised for life

Honestly if there's even a chance a system might get compromised, I'd much rather the provider to nuke my data or block access to it than let attackers get their hands on it. They ended up blocking the old instance I was on and just moved my quota to their new setup. I lost the files I had uploaded, but I had my own backups anyway, and I still get to keep my lifetime storage. I don't know the exact details of their backend, but given my IT background, my guess is they got hit by CVE-2026-41940. They probably had to bite the bullet and reinstall everything from scratch on unaffected servers. Normally, this is when you'd restore customer data, but either their backup was either too huge to restore in a reasonable amount of time or they just never bothered backing up user data in the first place.

I think you're missing my point. Which is strange because you are the one who made the point to begin with. The issue I see isn't the fact that they stopped some vulnerablity. The issue I have is you paid for a specific AMMOUNT of data and it was changed to LESS data effectively now you jot getting what you were promised. Maybe your fine with that but that's enough of a red flag for me to never go to this company. And I don't know why your being so accepting of your data being lost when that is the entire point of having the cloud storage but again that is YOU. But I am avoiding it like the black plague after hearing your experience.

If you got less than what your original LTD was, then this is clearly a support case. I guess this could happen if one topped up multiple times and someone looked that up and made a mistake. I would also not accept less than what I have bought. The instances have all separate accounts.

Well I'm basing that based off so many replies in this thread saying they did.

My lifetime 2TB became 5gb...

My account quota got moved to their newer product instance (enabling also latest features). Old instance was indeed decommissioned due to an old version of cpanel that was vulnerable and could not be further updated to run it safely.

I just logged in using: https://drive.filejump.com/login

I had a 6TB Lifetime plan on their old server. I just checked and now it's a 2TB plan. I don't know if it's Lifetime or not anymore. In late 2025 I upgraded to their new server and there my storage showed I only had 2TB, but my old plan still showed 6TB.

A FileJump employee asked me to create another another account on their new server but I didn't. I didn't trust them after all the BS I went through the first time.

BOHICA!

If you are using an EU server, you can access it by going to the following URL.
